Today I’m reviewing an interest animation movie with the title is RIO 2. This movie is directed by Carlos Saldanha, and written by Don Rhymer. The movie lasted 101 min and produced by 20th Century Fox. The dubbers are Jamie Foxx as Nico’s voice, Rodrigo Santoro as Tulio’s voice, Jesse Eisenberg as Blue’s voice, Anne Hathaway as Jewel’s voice, and Leslie Mann as Linda’s voice.

Well, RIO 2 tells about two forester Linda and Tulio find clue that there are population of Blue Macaw Bird in the inland forest in Amazon. They tried to find that, so that the area could be a conservation area. Hear that news Jewel encourage Blue, and their three children Going to Amazon to find their species. In this ocassion their effort would be hindered by illegal loggers.

Carlos Saldanha, the director of this movie did a great job. He directed the movie well. In the character side, Jesse Eisenberg nor Anne Hathaway have been good enough doing their job as two main figure. But an old character like Pedro, Nico, Raphael, and Luiz weren’t exposed maximally. Fortunately, they added a great fanfare in the begining and a lot of great comedy in this movie.

Three children of  Blue & Jewel actually have visual appearance that is easy to remember and very prominent, unfortunately they didn’t get significant portion.

An interesting new characters are poisonous frog Gabi & Roberto. The voices of Kristin Chenoweth suit well with Gabi character. For Bruno Mars, no wonder if just with a little singing, has been able to make women both in the film and in the audience spellbound with his sexy voice.

Not all characters are exposed, I think it just like wasting name and character. But it’s covered by the decor, art design, animation, visual and audio effects of 20th Century Fox Animation and Blue Sky Studios.

In terms of audio, the sound, music and an incredible soundtrack from John Powell fulfilled all to fit the display. Display colorful and beautiful music when the birds and the animals miraculously present large-scale performing arts. It’s so fantastic!

Finally, I must say that, Rio 2 is more spectacular than the previous one. But in the plot and the character building are weak.

I think, the moral value of this movie is about protecting our family ties and saving the animal from the extinction. And keeping the environment also. Save it for the next generation is our duty. Are you agree with me?

Say “YES” Like in Indonesia, you know that we have so many rare animals there. We should protect them for our future generation, right? Hahaha

I rated this movie a 8 out of 10.

Beside all of the lakes this movie is interesting to watch and suitable to spend your weekend.
